It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth and on the seventh day, He rested and was refreshed. Exodus 31 verse 18
Speak thou also unto the children of Israel saying verily My Sabbaths ye shall keep for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations that ye may know that I Am the Lord that doth sanctify you.
Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore for it is holy unto you. Everyone that defileth it shall be put to death for whosoever work therein that soul shall be cut off from among the people.
Six days may work be done but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest holy to the Lord whosoever forth any work in the sabbath day he shall surely be put to death.
Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath.
To observe the sabbath throughout their generations for a perpetual covenant.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5 verses 1 to 20
